About Us

The Light Church is a brand new church, launching at Easter 2025. We love to worship God and read the Bible together. We are made up of people of all ages, working out what it looks like to follow Jesus today. We’ve been commissioned by the Diocese of Salisbury (part of the Church of England) to serve the whole of Calne Deanery, which is made up of Royal Wootton Bassett, Lyneham, Calne and the villages in between.

If you are curious about faith or wondering about church, come & visit us. Everyone is welcome. We’d love to meet you. Children and young people are always welcome, and a really important part of our church community. You don’t need any background knowledge or experience of church to come along - just come as you are.

    Lead Minister

    Tom heads up the Leadership Team at The Light Church. He was previously Curate at Pattern Church in Swindon.

    Carys gives a couple of days a week to serving on the Leadership Team at The Light Church. Prior to this she led Growbaby Swindon at Pattern Church.
